Authenticity, charm  & modernity in the  heart of the Medina

El Patio Courtyard House is located in the Medina of Tunis. Dating back to the 18th century our house is a few hundred meters from the most famous places of the Medina such as the Great Mosque Zitouna of Tunis (9th century), the place of the government and its palaces, and the famous covered souks of Tunis.

El Patio-Tunis offers a concept of slow tourism, a unique experience and a cultural journey in the heart of Tunis.

A colorful experience to discover or rediscover Tunis at its own pace.

The Bardo Museum, the largest museum in Tunisia, is less than 10 minutes away by taxi.

The train to the northern suburbs and its picturesque Village Sidi-Bou-Said is only a 15 minutes walk away.

From El Patio Courtayrd House you can reach most of the cultural and tourist places of the Medina by foot.

El Patio Courtyard House is not only a small guesthouse, it is also a story about personal commitment and profound interest in the ambitious project of conserving the Old Town of Tunis, the Medina. By restoring and renovating our house, which dates back to the early 18th century, turning it into a small-scale guesthouse, we want to contribute to the conservation of the Old Town and to the strengthening of the social status of its inhabitants. When you stay at El Patio Courtyard House, you support a social enterprise.

Our house is located at exactly 280 meters from the main road, Boulevard Bab Menara.

Some taxmen would not like to drive in the narrow streets of the Medina. If you did not book a private transfer with us, please call us 5 minutes before your arrival to point indicated in your confirmation, and we will be happy to meet you there.

Khaoula

Aslama, hello, bonjour, hola, I am Khaoula, Tita for friends. I am very happily to be your host. I am a Master graduate in Architecture, Scenography and interior design. Furthermore, I am a great fan of travelling, cultures and arts of all kinds and colors. I am also passionate about painting on different supports, wood, glass... You will find some of my works in our DAR. But cooking and pastry are my grand passion. In two words, my motto is simple: life is too short for bad coffee and regrets.

Houssem

Bonjour, hello, I am Houssem, the assistant manager of Khaoula and your host on daily basis. I speak English, French and of course Tunisian. I am a big fan of my country and its cultural richness. I also love to make interesting encounters with whom to share our respective cultural riches. So the day Khaoula offered me the assistant manager position, I said YES without hesitation. I am at your disposal during your stay. So give free rein to your curiosity and do not hesitate to ask me all the questions that go through your head.
