Over the course of many centuries, Tunisia has adopted the history of the ancient and modern world. From the very famous, rich and prestigious Phoenician Berber Carthage and its tragic end, to the Latin renaissance and Christian Vandal culture, to the Islamic conquests, a new religion and new culture with its famous legacy the city of Kairouan, to the second Tunisian golden age with the Berber dynasty of the Hafsides which reigned over Tunisia for more than three centuries and which made the Medina of Tunis its capital, to the Ottoman parentheses and the birth of the Husseinite dynasty which reigned over Tunisia from 1703 to 1957, through the French protectorate, the Second World War... to the present day!

Bardo Museum - Carthage - Sidi Bou Said

  • Visit of the Bardo Museum (about 3h). Then departure to the ancient Carthage and the thermal Baths and Saint Louis Cathedral (about 2h). Lunch at the La goulette (about 1 hour) and we will finish the day at Sidi Bou Said at the café des délices.

  • Visit of the city of Kairouan, its Medina and its famous Grande Mosque. Then departure to Ancient city El Jem and visit to the Coliseum. Free time for lunch at El Jem

Then go west to the archaeological site of Dougga dating back to the golden age of the Romain Tunisia.

Sousse & Monastir

  • Visit to the Medina of Sousse, its mosque and its museum. Lunch time and then departure to the city of Monastir via the coast road and its numerous fishing village.

Uthina - Zaghouan & Tekruna

  • Visit of the Roman city of Uthina only 30 km south of Tunis, then the Berber village Tekruna 100 km south Tunis and ends at Zaghouan the andalousian city and famous by the Aquaduc of Cathage. It's a Roman aqueduct connecting Carthage with the sources of the region of Zaghouan.
